Your Journey to Your Dreams Never Stops
There's no expiration date on your dreams. No cosmic deadline stamped across the universe telling you that you have until Tuesday to launch your business or chase your passion project. God doesn't work with timelines--though I'll admit, knowing we have limited time on this Earth definitely adds a sense of urgency.
The challenge? We don't actually know when "later" runs out. That uncertainty can feel paralyzing, especially when you're eager to get started now.
The Messy Middle: Changing Directions
I've always known one thing for certain: I want to run my own small business. But that path? It's been ANYTHING but linear.
I've had to begin again. Multiple times. And each time I restarted, I wrestled with doubt--uncertain about my end goals, unsure if I was making the right choice. But something shifted recently. This time feels different.
It finally clicked for me when I realized that all my different dreams weren't competing with each other. They were actually intertwining, creating a cohesive vision of what I want to build. That's what's been missing before. Every time I switched directions or pivoted to a new idea, I couldn't get any real traction. How could I? I was constantly starting over without seeing the bigger picture.
Now? I've never been more confident about what I want to bring to the world.
You Don't Have to Have All The Answers
If you're reading this and feeling lost, I get it. Maybe you have a hundred ideas and don't know which one to pursue. Maybe you have no idea where to start. Maybe you're afraid that restarting means you've failed somehow.
Here's what I want you to know: don't get discouraged.
Instead, I want you to ask yourself this: Which ideas feel authentically you? Which ones bring you to life? Which ones excite you so much that you could work on them all day without getting tired?
Those are the ones. Follow those.
Getting Started: The Brain Dump Method
You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. In fact, you probably never will.
What I recommend is doing a complete brain dump. Write down every possible direction you could take with your idea. Where could it lead? What could it become? Once it's all there in front of you--messy, scattered, unfiltered--patterns will emerge. Clarity will follow.
From there you can start deciding. Maybe you create content. Maybe you design merchandise. Maybe you write a book or offer your services to others. The entry point doesn't matter as much as actually starting from somewhere.
Once you know what your heart is pulling you toward, take that first step. Don't wait for perfect clarity. Don't wait for the ideal moment. Begin now.
Your Business Will Evolve (And That's Okay)
Here's something I wish I'd truly understood earlier: your business will shift as you grow. Your journey will look different from everyone else's--and that's exactly as it should be.
Please, don't compare your chapter three to someone else's chapter twelve. Don't abandon your vision because it doesn't look like someone else's vision. Your path is uniquely yours for a reason.
And if that initial idea doesn't pan out the way you imagined? You can pivot. You can take that same core idea and explore a completely different direction with it. There are so many paths available to you--more than you probably realize right now.
Beginning Again Is Part Of The Story
The fear of starting is real. The fear of having to start over is even more real. But here's what I've learned: restarting isn't failure. It's part of your journey. It's the material of your story.
One day, you're going to look back at all these false starts and pivots and moments of uncertainty, and they're all going to make sense. They'll have shaped you. They'll have taught you. And you'll have an incredible story to tell about how you got where you ended up.
So don't be afraid to begin. Don't be afraid if you have to begin again.
